It’s not everyday we get a sunny day in Seattle. Usually days are overcast, with random bouts of rain, but something about this weekend was noticeably different – the sun was out.
Although I can’t stand the weather here (the Texas heat has spoiled me) it’s taught me to appreciate the small things in life. Like the sun peeking from the clouds.I haven’t blogged in a while. I’m sure you’ve noticed. I think this may have been the longest break I’ve taken. Life had been a warp of final exams, moving cross country, and then getting adjusted to work and all. But, I’m back and life is great! I’m two weeks into my internship and in the first week I realized exactly why I chose my major. I’m loving the company, my project, and the experience… it’s crazy to think I’m 1/6th of the way done. I found an amazing church, pastored by Judah Smith. In my New Years post, one of my resolutions was to draw closer to God than ever before. Finding a church home for the summer has been nothing short of a blessing in accomplishing that. I’m excited for what this summer has to offer: hopefully trips to Vancouver, Portland, & Connecticut, meeting new people, exploring this city, and appreciating the small things.
I’ve missed ya’ll!
