I tend to be in my own head a lot. Romanticizing everything, from love to my work. One of my favorite quotes is “You must give everything to make your life as beautiful as the dreams that dance in your imagination” (Roman Payne). As practical as I may be, ultimately I’m a romantic, an idealist, a believer of fairy tales. I believe that dreams come true, and that “when you want something, all the universe conspires in helping you achieve it” (Paolo Coelho, The Alchemist).
This trait, while one of my greatest flaws, is one of my greatest strengths. I believe in humanity, despite being let down everyday. I believe in love, despite heart break. And truthfully, I believe in me, despite constantly disappointing myself. I think I can live a life I love. I believe there exists a prince with a little more substance than charm, and that a princess can save herself and still find him. My greatest belief of all, is the faith that “happily every after” lives somewhere a few miles from “this too shall pass”.
“When I examine myself and my methods of thought, I come to the conclusion that the gift of fantasy has meant more to me than any talent for abstract, positive thinking.” – Albert Einstein
